Drawing

Journal Entry: Sun Nov 29, 2009, 9:28 AM

I haven't posted anything lately because I've been busy ("artistically" speaking) trying to keep up with the drawing course I started. Turns out it's a pretty shitty course. My intention when I decided to join it was to draw from a real model as much as I could, in order to get my anatomy notions straight, since I can't draw anything human other than faces - but that's just not how it works, all the lessons so far have been about drawing as fast as possible and the teacher says we're not gonna have any anatomy preocupations for the whole year.

I'm not very stimulated so now I'm starting a new bunch of my own drawings just to get my technique going.
After some portraits (you know I just can't help it, it's my favourite thing) I might search for some full body photographic references. It's not brilliant and not as good as a real life model but since I can't draw the school's models decently... Meh.

Encore, is there any chance i could get higher res of the two AVB works you did? I would love you forever.
:iconencore:
Nope, sorry. :( My acrylic paintings are posted here by photographing them and my camera is really bad..
:icondio-free:
Yea I noticed they were photographs, that's sad I wish i could lend you my camerica. One more question, are these paintings for a personal collection or would you consider selling any of them?
:iconencore:
They were given away for friends, actually. Some time ago I decided I had enough with my canvases taking up space by pointlessly lying on the floor around my home so, I sold some, and gave others away... You know, that's why I don't paint on canvas anymore. :/ But thanks for asking anyway, I'm glad you like those works that much.
:icondio-free:
Wow lucky friends. I'll get them printed instead but it would have been so much better to have the originals. Thanks for answering! :)
:icondio-free:
lol that should read "camera"
:icondio-free:
You are incredible. Love the AVB work!
